| Excellent spot for relaxing prior to taking ferry back to UK – Calais some 10 miles away. Very clean site with great views (on a clear day) of White cliffs of Dover and ferry boats. If travelling on A16 then take J11 off and follow D243 towards Escalles. On entering Escalles turn left onto Rue du Chateau-d’eau. Site on left after 200 mtrs. If coming on coast road D940 then in Escalles village take D243 and Rue de Peupingues and turn right onto Rue du Chateau-d’eau Good shower/toilet block – sign says 1 Euro per shower but site owner says included in price if staying overnight.
