A cracking aire located on the banks of the River Loire in the lovely town of Beaugency. Very popular with around 20 places but only three or four with river views so arrive early if you want a good spot. \u00a0Now has a first class concrete service point that is operated by credit card. There is a menu of options from \u20ac1 per 10 mins for water\u00a0or\u00a0\u00a0 \u20ac1\u00a0of electricity for 4 hours.\u00a0 \u00a0Waste and WC is free however please note the water connection has a large bore tap, even larger than the German standard so will need an additional connector (or bucket) if you want to take on water. \u00a0There is a free water tap behind the building if you have a bucket. \u00a0 Follow the N152 through Beaugency and the aire is easily seen where the road bends\u00a0 approx 300 mtrs from the bridge and next to the boules pitch.\u00a0 If you have Google Earth with street view then it shows it well.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Attractions Nearby: \u00a0 Nice walks along river banks and Beaugency is a nice oldie worldie town. \u00a0There is a mobile Frites\/Pizza van semi permanently located at the aire (open in evenings in Oct but not sure how much longer into the season) excellent cycle route alongside river towards Orleans or Blois.\u00a0 Good selection of restaurants in the town that seem to open by rotation – at least during October. \u00a0The bridge is illuminated at night. \u00a0Boules can be played or watched from directly across the entrance to the river area. \u00a0There is an archery centre, quad bike centre some 300 mtrs along the river bank to the left of the Aire.<\/p>\n
